That's sort of like when I was talking to a now former BBS Sysop and
his wife. When I told him I'd call him if I needed help, what I said was
"If I need assistance, I'll give him a ring..." -- instantly, I was cut
off my his wife, saying "Boy, you're a cheap date!! You want to go right
to the wedding, you pervert!!"...and they both were laughing
uncontrollably, while I was so red. :P

Ironically, in an actual note for their child's abscences, the parent
had written to "please excuse my child for being absent February 29, 30,
    31, 32, and 33". That year wasn't a leap year...and we know that those
    other dates don't exist.

So, who needs to be in school more?? :P

Talk about slow service though.. our appt's were for 2:45 and 3:00 pm
(just enough time for the doc to see us and exclaim, "you are healthy
<vbg>"). When he took so long to see us, we had just said to each
other, "If he's not in here in like 5 minutes, we'll just leave...".
It's like if you're not on time for your appointment or something, you're charged for it, but if it's on the other foot, we have to suffer. Like being asked to come in early for work or working on a day off, but if
we're five minutes late we get written up.
Yeah :( I remember once last year this same thing happened and we DID
just walk out. The Doc called us all apologetic after we got home (So sorry Mrs. Kracht <sure>).
Total unconcern by the doc's office and the doc while we're there
    though :(

Sometimes there's good reason for the doc running late... My GI doctor
(now retired) always ran late... but that was because he'd always take
all the time needed to really talk with and examine his patients... one
never felt like he didn't care... He was worth waiting the extra time
    for...

First, it's a trek for us to go from Ithaca to Binghamton (about an hour)... and we have to make the appointments at a certain time of day since Ron has to be back in time to give his 97 year old aunt her
diabetes shots and meds. We're it for her care, so it really gets us
upset when they do this kind of thing :(

Have you looked for a doctor closer to home...? Seems an even bigger
waste when one goes that far to not even be seen....

Sure I understand that as well. I know our doc is a pretty busy fellow, but what I'm saying is he shouldn't be 'overbooking'.

The situation developed because I guess a number of partners in the group were vacacationing so he had to cover some of that. When his office started to see the appt's running late, why not call his patients and tell them what is going on??

Of course, they're NOT going to tell you about the nasty side effects,
and health effects down the road. That's like the prescription drugs,
