A Sad Day for All of Us
    Janis Kracht, 1:261/38,janis@filegate.net

On Sunday, September 24th, 2017, Joe Delahaye passed away.
Our deepest sympathies go out to Bea, and all in Joe's
family and his many fidonet friends. We lost a good guy...
one who was always willing to help and one whose patience
and goodwill will be remembered always.

Such a sad loss for us all.

Stepping up to help Region 12, Nick Andre has agreed to
take over as R12C. Thank you Nick for accepting my request
    to do this.

    Janis,

On Sunday, September 24th, 2017, Joe Delahaye passed away.

I saw a post from Rob Swindell (aka digital man), the author of
Synchronet BBS software. Joe had run Synchronet (like Rob and
myself)...and like both of us, he was also a ham radio operator.

We've lost too many too soon.

On another note, I saw this morning where Playboy Empire Magnate Hugh
Hefner, died of natural causes at 91 this morning...and I'll leave it at
that. I remember one time in college several years ago, in the game
room, there was a "Playboy Pinball Machine". No nudity, but suggestive
    enough.

    Agree there :(

Heh.. We used to go to the Playboy club in Sterling Forest NY years and years ago.. One time besides dinner and dancing, Mort Sahl was there performing, FWTW <grin>

I remember one time in college several years ago, in the game
room, there was a "Playboy Pinball Machine". No nudity, but suggestive enough.

Too funny... suggestive then is what I'm chuckling at :)

    Take care,

Too bad they don't have those for Android.

Awhile back, when I was with AT&T Internet, I had enough points to
order "Lost World Pinball". Basically, the plane of 3 scientists...one
woman, and two men...land on this volcanic island...and it has
prehistoric creatures (dinosaurs, etc.). They have to go through a whole
slew of mazes, then they find the mad scientist (Hekla), who has created
all these creatures. Rex (one of the scientists) then goes through
additional mazes, and basically ends up blowing up Hekla's machine, just
after they repair the plane, and escape the island. It's very hard to
    beat.

Awhile back, a central Arkansas area restaurant had a pun filled questionnaire on several Arkansas towns. From the clues given, you had
to guess the name of the Arkansas city. My favorite was from the clue
"Kiss Again" -- the town: Smackover. <G>

I guarantee you, if they had shut all the transportation deals down (especially the TSA) with this "government shutdown", Congress would
really be in high gear to try to get things moving again.

But, all they care about...on both sides of the aisle...is their
political careers. They have no clue as to what their constituents are
dealing with. I can't feel sorry for those greedy bastards who say they
    can't survive on $175,000 a year...and I don't even get 1% of that in a
month. Then, they still get full pay and benefits after they're
retired...no wonder the government is broke. To me, Congress should NOT
be paid until they get an agreement worked out...and their salaries
forfeited to veterans, who need them much more.

... Do no look into laser with remaining eye.

Better run your spell checker on that tagline -- no should be NOT.
