The date was wrong for the makenews/printnews program, sorry about that. :( I rehatched with the proper date for yesterday so you'll see two hatches of fidogazette in your inbound <sigh>

You'll notice the wrong date in the msg. echo, but the correct date in the archive ...

The second file I hatched today has the correct date...

We had a situation last night.. Aunt Gert (who is 97) decided to go for a walk around 4AM - I woke hearing lots of activity last night so I sent Ron downstairs to check on her. She had her winter coat on and was heading for the
backdoor (again).. we keep it locked but you know, it would be just our luck for her to figure out the lock this time ... geez... Glad we caught her before something bad happened.

I'm definitely in need of sleep.

Doesn't surprise me, as older people like Aunt Gert, also often suffer from it.

We still have to get in her room when her caregiver is giving her a shower to check for evidence of more 'sweets'... Maybe this Monday...

    Hi Daryl,

    Hi, Janis...

We still have to get in her room when her caregiver is giving her a shower t JK>check for evidence of more 'sweets'... Maybe this Monday...

I heard of one woman, who ate an entire birthday cake with a ton of
rich, sugar, frosting. It shot her blood sugar above 700, and she had to
be rushed to the Emergency Room.

When the doctor walked in, he condescendingly asked "Have we been a
    bad girl??!!". :P

Reminds me of the time when I had to have a cardiac catheterization
done through the groin. You can NOT urinate on your back...male or
female. When the nurse came in, and asked "Did we spring a leak??", I
growled, "No, I just felt like p!$$!ng in the bed!!" :P

Along that line (I don't remember if I've told this or not, but it's
a true story)...this one ol' boy was constantly aggravated by this
nurse who always "talked down to him", as if he was a little child.
Whenever he was in, she always had to come in, and ask for a urine
    specimen.

Well, either one of his friends suggested this to him, or he thought
of it himself. He ordered a small container of apple juice, and he hid
it away. When the nurse came in, she asked for the specimen, then said
"I'll step outside while you urinate in the cup". Well, unbeknownst to
her, he poured the apple juice in the cup!!

When she walked back in, she looked at the specimen cup, and groaned
"Oh!! A little dark!!". Normally, that means your urine is highly
concentrated, as if you're not drinking enough water. He grabbed it from
her, and said "That's OK, I'll run it through again!!", and promptly
    swigged down the apple juice.

The nurse fainted dead away. <G>

What killed her, sadly, was her dislike for water. She literally

I've been in sports quite a lot and there was this guy who had used a performance enhancing substance. Fearing he would have to provide a urine sample during a doping test, he had his girlfriend pee in a small bottle.

He was selected, managed to put the urine of his girlfriend into the testing bottle of the lab. When the results came back, it had a note "Congratulations, you are pregnant".

He was barred from competition for 2 years.

I have to be careful too as I can be the same way though with it getting close to 90F today already I tend to chug a lot of water in the heat. I like soda (a little too much) but the only thing that keeps me cool is water. I have hyperhydrosis, meaning I sweat too much, so I am especially prone to getting dehydrated quickly.

I have to be careful with sugar-free stuff. Anything with "-ol" in it usually will cause me to go screaming to the bathroom.

It's best for me to just not eat anything sweet or carb-heavy. Though I have lost a lot of weight in the past few months since the car accident...

    And actually true.

In a more modest way the trick has been used several times but female urine has
some different hormonal components so they're now always tested for ... in male
competitions as well as female. In the former it should not be, in the latter it has to.

They're now also checking the quality of the pee because it varies depending on
the activities of the individual throughout the day.
