    Where to Send Your Articles

Unlike most editors, I surely do not mind running my mouth when
there is a sparsity of articles for the 'zine. I'd MUCH rather
you sent in material... lacking that, I will fill these issues
with my meanderings and thoughts and hopefully we will grow into
something of consequence here :) Write an article!

If you WOULD like to submit an article, feel free to drop your
    article off at:

Email attach to address: janis @ filegate.net

    Fidonet attach:
    Janis Kracht at 1:261/38
    Modem: 607-200-4076
    Binkp: 1:261/100 filegate.net port 24555
    telnet mailer: filegate.net

If you are using routed Fidonet mail, don't send articles as
routed attaches. They may fail somewhere along the path before
getting here. Send them instead in the body of your routed
    netmail to janis@filegate.net

Give it a title, sign your name and network address if you have
one or your email address and send it along!

Don't worry about the format, I can take anything you send me
and mutilate it further as you can see above. Linux is nice
that way (g). Spell checking your own work will help though
(something I'm typically guilty of (g)).

I usually go there on Thursday to download both the FIDOGazette and
FIDONews, to put them on the BBS. I think the FIDOGazette is published
weekly, but FIDONews is bi-weekly, if I remember right.

Once downloaded, I run a batchfile I created for each, so they're
placed in the proper bulletin and file areas on the BBS.

With us being in the heart of our Tornado Season now, I can't be
    online every day.

Nope, both are issued weekly. Bjorn publishes fidonews on Sunday I think, but you can check the latest fidonews for information about that.

I'll have to get it tomorrow...had a rogue thunderstorm move in this
evening, and I rushed to shut everything off. It moved out quick, but
one lightning hit is one too many.

Once downloaded, I run a batchfile I created for each, so they're

    Nice... :)

I can write a batchfile for the BBS, but my programming ENDS at
setting the clock on the microwave oven. If I forget how to do that,
    I'll starve to death. :P

With us being in the heart of our Tornado Season now, I can't be
    online every day.

    Understand that one!

We're very concerned about Saturday and Saturday night...with the
potential of hurricane force winds, strong tornadoes, flooding rain, and
    large hail.

The manufacturer's need something besides "Warm"... You know you hit that button, then test it.. nope not enough so you hit it again... I guess that's 'high heat for 1Min'... :)

geez, when you guys get weather, you get WEATHER :( No wonder poor Dorothy got blown to heck :) Ok, she wasn't in Arkansas, but she was what a couple hours away? :):)

    Take care,

Ironically, as I saw it developing rapidly, I grumbled "I hope it
    doesn't become a thunderstorm". <BOOM!> -- me and my big mouth. :P

The manufacturer's need something besides "Warm"... You know you hit that JK>button, then test it.. nope not enough so you hit it again... I guess that's JK>'high heat for 1Min'... :)

They think everyone is as technically savvy as they are. It reminds me
of the joke about the VCR tape and the DVD...showing you how to set up
your VCR and DVD systems. <G>

geez, when you guys get weather, you get WEATHER :( No wonder poor Dorothy g JK>blown to heck :) Ok, she wasn't in Arkansas, but she was what a couple hour JK>away? :):)

She was in Kansas...ironically, they pronounce Arkansas as
    "Ar-Can-Saw" here...but in Kansas, it's pronounced "Ar-Can-Sus".

I think of the cartoon, where these musicians were complaining about
her refusing to "Carry On, My Wayward Son", and other titles. Dorothy
told Toto "I don't think we're in Kansas anymore". <BG>
