But then they're gone, you'll miss them, not the FG. :D
She and her boys are relocating to Pittsburgh next year so actually
we're enjoying them living close now before that happens :(

I understand completely. I've been talking with a multinational company about >a possible job in Austin, Texas, and I am worried about being so far away from
my parents. They have told me to take if it's offered to me but both of my parents are disabled and I worry about them if I move.
Yes, that could be rough. The good news is if the pay is right maybe
you can fly back easier to visit with them now and again.

ENJOY them while you can!!!
We have one 15 minutes from home, but due
to some 'issues' we are unable to see him. The other was born on
September 1 this year, but he's eight hours away.
We were there when he was born - going back during Fall Break...

Oh yeah, really true.. One is off to college now, the other two
thankfully still have a number of years before that happens. My
daughter though is planning on a big move next year, and -that- will be
a drag :(

You aren't contemplating a move to be nearer them when it happens, I trust....? ;)
Hopefully they'll be able to come visit you regularly,
even after the move... :) I know you'll miss them, especially after
being so close while they were growing up there... :)
... Chopped cabbage....it's not just a good idea... it's the SLAW!

No, this is only one stop along the way for them... Her boyfriend
will be working and finishing his schooling, then he may end up working even further away. He's an OR Nurse. My daughter is like Ron, she works remotely via computer so she will probably want to move to wherever her boyfriend lives. Understandable :)
Hopefully they'll be able to come visit you regularly,
I expect so.. the boys' dad lives here in Ithaca.

I will, but we're expecting to see the boys often if all goes as
"planned" <grin>
Just a little crazier in the scheduling I think :)

Or at least be willing to move with him wherever he ends up... :)
Maybe after all his schooling he'll end up back in this neck of the
woods... there's lots of hospitals needing good OR nurses between Ithaca
and Rochester and Syracuse and all... :)

So as long as he doesn't move away, too..... ;0

Probably... :) And even more likely that when they're around the FG
will get not quite enough attention... <G>

Yes, they went on a trip to northern california (her job related) and
they both loved that area.

True, and his family is here, but who knows what they'll decide.

It's going to get crazy here anyway. Ron's 94 year old Aunt Gert will
be moving in with us sometime in the next two weeks. Lots of change necessary here. We're revamping our bathroom to change the tub into a showstall to accomodate her, and moving my son upstairs so she can have that bedroom...
She's a really really neat lady, I'm looking forward to her stay here.

That would be awfully far to go though.... ;0
True... My only kid is currently in France, and hasn't been back to the States now in the last two years... now is saying he'll be back for a
visit next July 4th..... too far for me, but they decide on their own...

Not one for new things and places...?

take it she's in reasonably good health, too... :)

Yes, I do have other family there... my sister's daughters and her
husband live in the LA area. My sister died several years go.. but
it's still not an overnight trip :) One of those things you'd have to plan.

Aw, maybe you should visit him in France... I'd love to go 'someday' <g>

Yes, it is set up now for sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. She fell
and fractured her pelvis so we're waiting for that to heal.
I'm going to have meals-on-wheels and another organization deliver
meals for her. She's a diabetic, and you know there are just some
days I don't want to cook at all :) You can't do that with a
diabetic.. This way, there will be meals here for her.

Yes, a permanent move. I set up a doc for her here in the Ithaca area today, and set up the meals, etc. today.
