Total unconcern by the doc's office and the doc while we're thereSometimes there's good reason for the doc running late... My GI doctor
though :(
(now retired) always ran late... but that was because he'd always take
all the time needed to really talk with and examine his patients... one never felt like he didn't care... He was worth waiting the extra time
for...
Sure I understand that as well. I know our doc is a pretty busy
fellow, but what I'm saying is he shouldn't be 'overbooking'.
The situation developed because I guess a number of partners in the
group were vacationing so he had to cover some of that. When his
office started to see the appt's running late, why not call his
patients and tell them what is going on??
First, it's a trek for us to go from Ithaca to Binghamton (about anHave you looked for a doctor closer to home...? Seems an even bigger
hour)... and we have to make the appointments at a certain time of day
since Ron has to be back in time to give his 97 year old aunt her
diabetes shots and meds. We're it for her care, so it really gets us
upset when they do this kind of thing :(
waste when one goes that far to not even be seen....
Talk about a shortage of doctors around here.. :( It's not easy to
get in to see a new one.

We did do that for the past decade or two, but then he died.
Fortunately, we were able to move to another doctor with the same practice.
