You may have just got a huge dump of old messages. If so, my apologies
    - we had to do some message base work and although it shouldn't have happened, it DID in fact rescan and resend everything. My apologies
    for the inconvenience!

There seemed to be approx 940 messages. This node survived since it has a superior echomail processor, although it can't offer a NNTP feed. My main node
(#/384) caught the lot... oops, sorry Alexander.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

yup... 200 in this round of dupes landed in here and ~1000 others were caught by hpt's dupe base which i have set for 3 years retention... i don't know how many came in in the first round... however, my FE dupe base on the main system is blown away now :?

i kinda figured something was up since i have to keep unareafixing areas i've already unareafixed from before...

Janis sends a message in an area I've already shut off and deleted, and that reopens it and attachs your node number <sigh>.

yeah, i've been dancing that dance, too  i didn't want to do it this way but i have finally just set both systems to not be able to autocreate areas... it won't be as easy for me to whip up an areafix disconnect message for each of
the areas since they'll now be thrown in my BADMESSAGES area which means i'll have to actually look for them and manually write the message instead of replying and editing the autoareacreate message... six for one, half a dozen for another -=B-)

I may have to do that -- I don't like that solution, but .... :-)
