I test for a new set of hearing aids by Defender. I will have to go back a week or so later to get them after they are ordered.

Andrew can afford to send the kids to Princeton.

Today I have to chop up the package of chorizo in the freezer. I buy those little packages in the plastic tube, freeze them, chop them into 1.5-2" chunks and suckie bag them. Here is your next freezing challenge. Take the 8" wide bag and put a seam from top to bottom in the middle. That way you can do 2 of those chunks with the same amount of baggage linearly. I do this for small amounts of things used for flavoring like yellow pepper.

Clever idea. That would mean bypassing the cutter to make the middle seam, which is something I am not ready to learn to do yet.

    What is yellow pepper?

    2) What means: sprinkle with the salt, cover, and refrigerate overnight?... Why?

I'd suggest you look up "sweet pepper", "bell pepper", or "capsicum". These things come in various colours including yellow, orange, and red.... :-)

What means: sprinkle with the salt,

Didn't you use the word "sprinkle" not long ago WRT something Aussies (and others) use to decorate cookies? Usually "sprinkle" indicates the item in question is scattered more or less sparingly. It can be a noun or a verb.

    cover, and refrigerate overnight?... Why?

Some food items may be best chilled for awhile before going on to the next stage, and they're usually covered so they don't dry out or pick up odours from e.g. the onions & well-aged cheese sharing fridge space with them.... :-Q
