Jeff, download ftp://ftp.santronics.com/files/autoupdate.zip , unzip to
your wc5 directory and overrite the autoupdate.exe, then try it again.

    Shane,
I have found that my autoupdate is not working. I am on version
1.445. If I try to update I select telnet or dial up and after a few
checks I get the message "We are sorry but the autoupdate server was
    unable to find your registration"

My registration # is 07-2898, and I have verified that my key code and registration number are entered correctly.

    Suggestions?

This was fixed in the update available as of today.

Is there a complete file of current documentation? It would be great to have current information to reference as I set this up.

Look on your server for multiple copies of wcsrv.dll -- particularly in
your PX directory. If you find any copies other than the one in your
WINS directory, either delete them or overwrite them with the version in
    your WINS directory.

Typically, you have two choices for handling wcsrv.dll (and a couple
    others, like wcvb.dll).

    1. Copy them to the subdirectories where programs that need them are
installed. If you do this, every time you run the AUP you'll have to
    repeat this step.

    2. Remove them from everywhere on your server except your WINS
directory. Put your WINS directory in your path. For NT, this means
editing the "System" properties under Control Panel -- look for the
Environment tab. For Win95/98, this means editing your autoexec.bat
file. If you do this, you won't need to copy files when you run the AUP.

We installed wcNAV without a problem in WINS2000.

Is this something that happen after installing, after already using
    WCNAV on W2K?

Yes it happened when I used it under windows 2000 to connect to my bbs using local telnet.

I installed windows 2000 in my system that has win95 without upgrading
the win95 in it. Then I installed wildcat navigator. Maybe I should have removed the old installed wcnav under win95 since their using the same directory :-).

Probably. I had installed wcNAV on a fresh w2k machine. No problem.

What I was asking though, if you had installed it successfully, then had it working successfully for length of time, and then at some later point this vm*.* file error occurred. I am just wondering if this is an installation issue or something else over wrote some wcnav files.

My board is getting popular here in Manila thanks to Winserver and ofcourse Santronics! Im currently offering free internet email here and internet access (certain hours of the day).

    Glad to hear this. :-)

Yes I've installed it successfully. It happened upon the first time I
used wcnav after installing. I installed it then run it then it showed
up (the vshelper.dll) logging error. Actually it shows up 2x so I had
to either press the ok or cancel button. There's no problem using the
other clients except for the browser. the vsock connection is still
there but when I launch the browser it cant connect to my system under
    wcnavs vsock.
