    Hi,

A RSS / Atom News Feed Server generator addon within WINServer would be
    nice.

Someone mentioned in the NNTP area about providing RSS feeds for mail
areas. I am currently working on a small WCX web component that provides
this functionality for the mail areas.

I can extend the functionality to the file areas.

We do need to consider security though. In the mail area side, we're
limiting the tool to access only mail areas that are defined in a
configuration file. If messages are marked private for any reason, they're skipped automatically. This means only specified mail areas and public
mail is visible to the user.

How would you vision this working for file areas? Particularly limiting
the view of the files in the list based on what the user can see? Or would
you just specify some "list of areas" that are public to all to show?

    Chris

    Chris,

Ok the idea is that the user can to some saved search profiles. That
searches will run every day and he can get the result by rss. The security needs to be adapted like if you are online and search for files. In that case I

m looking also for a better file search engine for WINS.

    Cheers,
    David
