Question for you Retro Cool dudes....

The first BBS I ran was "The Paradise Inn" on a C64, SCSI adapter, and two
SFD drives. It was "highly modified" in basic lol! I read the only posts showing on this forum, and noticed C-Net now requires registration? I
thought it was always shareware? Is there something I'm missing?

Ok the main question .. can someone hook me up with a site I can buy a
working Amiga? I want to runa second BBS on an Amiga, with C-Net. Or a C18/C64 is fine I suppose but imagine most want 80 columns these days. Also, when you bought or restored your Amiga, are you having to run it on a CRT or
is there an adapter to more modern monitors these days?

Lastly, if anyone is also running SyncroNet or Mystic, is there a way to have one URL, with a login option for the user to select the BBS they want to explore -- not a configured Theme, but actual computer to direct traffic to?

    Thanks!

C-Net has never been shareware. You will have to visit fw2.cnetbbs.net:6800 is your looking for C-Net64, 128 or Amiga.

Not everyone likes 80 columns. Today, alot of C64 computers are being brought back to life and people are loading up CCGMS and calling the many C64 BBSes out there. There are only 3 C-Net64 boards up. One is running a very modified older version. The other two are running the latest DS-2.
I am working on the C-Net 128, but it may not be up and ready until this weekend. Having issues with the modem.

What version? I have a working 6.6 but I can't get any v7+ to work, even
using ACAI with swiftlink enabled .. I've tried everything I can think of
but I'm coming to the realization that it will not be usable under emulation

I just picked up a new HP Mini that I am running my main BBS on, I was
thinking about using it for a C128 board.. I have Centipede setup and it
works, answers calls just fine, but it's a pig on drive space

In the end, if I can't get real hardware I have been seriously considering buying a Mist Box .. hardware level emulation has got to be better than
    running it under Vice/WinVice

My DS-2 has been up online ever since Dan released it, I just have not gotten around to modifying it from stock and telling folks the addy of it. I have
used mine as a private test subject I guess you could say. LOL Guess I
should tie up a few loose ends on it and post the URL to it here in the future so other than myself, everyone else can connect to it. ;)

Yes please share! As you can see, I now run one of each. A C-Net Amiga BBS, C-Net 64 BBS and now a C-Net 128 BBS....
