The Apple echo has had activity in it... I've e-listed it and have in past asked for it to be on the backbone but it never got there and I kinda pooped out on getting it there. I do have it available here at 1:2320/100 if anyone is interested in picking it up.

Also have an Atari ST echo and all the commodore echos as well.

I monitor the Z1_Backbone echo and don't remember your request for APPLE to be added, BUT the NAB is under new management {chuckle} and I will see about getting it added to same.

Your DISTribution field in the EchoList is a little misleading, some (like I did) may think it is only available Direct from you. You may want to change it to "Backbone & Direct..." or something. Just a thought :)

When I get it on backbone then we will change the listing. I know I sent ross a message about the time I got Marvel and DC Universe online.

    It's moving occasionally.

at this day in time, it should be really easy to get echos carried on the backbone... the main thing is to register it in the echolist and then post that
ACK in the backbone echo requesting carriage...

Also have an Atari ST echo and all the commodore echos as well.

CBM is already carried... you should, as a gating system, check to see if what you carry is already listed before requesting carriage... carrying what is not listed is OK as long as you don't send it to the BB without requesting access... most gated groups carry a "[GNG]" flag... it would be great if all of
them did that were news groups and gated to fidonet...

The only echos that I am gating into fidonet are at the request of Janis the Railfan echo and an MS Dos Programmer echo. I don't moderate either of them and left it up to Janis or who the requestor was to e-list them.

As for Commodore theres a commodore 128 echo a Commodore GEOS echo (both have not had any recent traffic) someone did inquire about an atari ST echo though.

All of the echos on my system that are active on fidonet but not on the bone are pretty much the wild unmoderated echos on the fidoweb. I do freely distribute them with anyone who feeds here, and they are active I won't elist them on the Echolist becuase they are unmoderated and flowing. I don't want any further controversy to stop the flow and discussion in them. A lot of those echos are classic computers echos. Apparantly in other parts of the world what we call classic computers in America are still in use.

Ben it was probably more than 8 months... thank you for doing this. Unfortunately I don't have a backbone link since I'm not connected to Ross anymore. Can I establish a link with you or someone that will get the traffic moving on that echo to the NAB?

I think this one, with the popularity of all the Apple iDevices would get some traffic.

Yes, I am at cmech.dynip.com:24554 for BinkP, hit me up unsecure and I will arrange a secure link. Did you want the entire backbone or just Apple? Not a problem, Areafix works just fine, you can link up whatever you need, I carry the NAB plus some. :)

I don't get everything from one feed... most of my stuff is coming in pretty stable. I'm more interested in the "Plus Some" but definatly want to get Apple and a couple other things I host on Backbone link.

Sounds good, crash netmail me via BinkP to establish a secure linkup :)
