Is there anything similar brewing in the USA of other countries?

Technically, they say, that your mask is protecting other people

Good. If you look at the header info, there should be a kludge in there: TGUID. That number is your unique identifier. Even if you change your name, that number will stay the same.
If you see a REPLYTO, it should appear to use your TGUID to construct the proper TO address for a reply.
Basically, you can then send a netmail reply to any "tg BBS" originating message with your reader's PrivateReply function. Does that make sense?

Threading works fine via msgid and replyid fine. The long subj lines are well supported in other readers. Both details work great with openxp and thunderbird. Cheers! :)

I see that on your Synchronet web interface there is even much more room than 40. Looks good! Again.. a wordier subject can serve as a pretty good preview of what's inside.
I think Stas pick 40 because it's about the best length when viewing on the Telegram app for smartphone before the line would wrap. So, we get the potential for a "long" subject, but not too long so wraps and looks ugly in the app.
