Any of you guys running a bbs under older versions of OS/2? I am running
EleBBS for OS/2 and using SIO2K for a fossil. I am having carrier loss issues whenever a door or external message editor is used. Is there a better version of SIO I should be using?

sio2k is no good. try 1.60d instead

sio2k is no good. try 1.60d instead

There are some people (myself included) that have to use SIO2K to get VMODEM working. VMODEM from SIO 1.60d crashes with an error in POPUPLOG.OS2 immediately upon startup.

Apparently it's an issue where the older VMODEM.EXE calls a function in TCP32DLL that is broken or missing in some versions of TCP/IP for OS/2. I've never managed to figure out exactly what version of TCP/IP for OS/2 you need to have for VMODEM 1.60d to work.

i am using os2 warp server 4.52 and had some issues with sio2k, downgraded to 1.60d and now every problem disappeared.
