From Bill Gordon@1:3634/22 to All on Mon Dec 25 05:38:40 2017
I have an iMac Retina with a 3.1Ghz Intel Core 15, running macOS High Sierra (ver 10.13.2) and would LOVE to find a simple, easy to set up BBS for it.

It just sits there otherwise, taking up space, and doing nothing.

Any assistance would be appreciated, especially since I am a noob when it comes to macOS.

    Thanks

That's a lot of horsepower for a BBS, but if it's doing nothing...
I believe Enigma1/2 runs on OSX. I'm sure there are loads of others that'll
run on OSX either natively or using a VM (or Wine) and run under
    windows/Linux.
I like Mystic, but that does not run natively under OSX :(
Have a look here for a list and OS's that they work on... http://software.bbsdocumentary.com/

I'm fairly certain there is indeed an OSX version of Mystic (both 32bit and 64bit versions, even!).

    mysticbbs.com/downloads/mysl112a36_o64.zip

And replace 64 with 32 for the 32bit version.

    Regards,
    Nick

I'm not sure how many other options there are, but Mystic has a macOS version.

i don't see one with an 'l' (ell) on it ;)

i think you're talking about these two, then?

Yep, you are correct, my mistake. I was thinking of Netrunner, which no longer has an OSX version.

You can use Mystic. I have a MacBook Pro 2015 here with me and I have setup a point system using Mystic for MacOS. Works like a charm.

I can help you out if needed, but you will also be able to find support
at the MYSTIC area. Mystic can be found at www.mysticbbs.com.

Well, I run Mystic natively on OSX, the author has compiled it for both
    32 and 64-bit versions.

ENiGMA is also a fair choice.

Not that I need something else to do - LOL - but I have a ton of

are no longer in use. You're making me want to avoid this thread...
