Well, you'd only be able to go back to 1988 then...

GREAT comeback!! I am sure Nick would help you if he could. I, however, have never heard of Celerity BBS (Perhaps "Celebrity", still haven't heard of it.

Thanks for the informaiton. Quite the short article about it, though. If it said what platform it was for, I missed it.

Celerity was among the many BBSes based on the Forum-PC BBS by Ken Duda. Others include, Emulex, Emulex/2, Monarch, Oblivion, TCS, LSD, Baphomet, and a few others.

Forum PC was written in Turbo Pascal and due to how the code was organized, made for an excellent learning platform for TP coders. The problem was that a certain segment of the population thought nothing of tweaking a few minor things, renaming the software, and then calling it their own.

I've got the source code to Forum but I just haven't put all of my programming files on the BBS. Maybe I'll do that later this week from my hotel room (I'll be on the road for work).

The source for Forum PC should be up on http://software.bbsdocumentary.com as well as sources for some of the other variants. It would be nice if the sources for Monarch and Monarch/2 showed up - my brain is telling me it was an interesting variant, but then refuses to recall why. ;)

In 415 (San Francisco bay area) the Forum BBSes came and went quickly. Most of them were pirate boards, which added to the ephemerality.
