• BinkD nodelist file generation?

From Jeff Smith@1:282/1031 to All on Fri Mar 10 01:58:12 2017
    Hello There,

I am working on a bash file that will acquire the current nodelist and then compile it for use as an "include" file for BinkD. It can be used for any Fido style FTN network nodelist. I currently use it to generate include files for two other FTN's. It can also be used to generate nodelist files for other similar mailers (I.E Argus or Radius). The hardest part is finding a direct source for the nodelist's.

That should be on your system! ;)

For Fido I go out and grab the dailylist. For other FTN's I get what nodelist that are easily available. Some are directly available while others are available via zipped network info packs. The processing is the easy part.

You do know there is a perl script that will do that for you, at least for binkd. Not sure about Argus or Radius though.

You can link here if you want the daily or weekly lists for Fido at least, When I distribute the weekly SportNet nodelist, I include a binkd compatable list with the St. Louis and the DIFF.

I would love to get the Dailylist compiled every day. How much
trouble would it be to hatch this out?

There's a DAILYLST file echo, that should get the current daily nodelist onto your system. Is that what you're asking for?
