• Good source for bash help

    From Sean Dennis@1:2320/100 to All on Mon Mar 6 22:46:35 2017
    Hi everyone,

    A good source for bash help is The Linux Documentation Project or TLDP (tldp.org).

    I've used that many a time to write my own bash scripts.

    I'm curious. A lot of those numbers are not in the FidoNet nodelist:

    Not that I am aware of.

    A observation though. I checked both the message from Sean to me and my reply message to Sean. I don't see those seen-by's in either of those messages. But I do see them in the message from you.

    The issue I see is with Allen Prunty's system at 2320/100. I'm not sure if he has Zone-Blind set in his ini file because his Sportnet address (110/3) is appearing. I know he belongs to a shitload of networks and that's where they may all be coming from. I'd look there first...

    Yes, it appeared that the extra seen-by's were coming from Wilfred's direction. But they may not of originated on Wilfred's system. In fairness to Wilfred I will also contact Allen on the matter via netmail/email.

    Thanks for the input Bill.

    Zone blind is off... but I am running the same version of SBBSecho that we were having trouble areafixing with. I've rolled back to an older version.

    The areafix issue was on my side due to permissions that have been resolved. It had nothing to do with sbbsecho.

    Zone blind should be on. Make sure you have this in your sbbsecho.ini

    ZoneBlind = true
    ZoneBlindThreshold = 4
