To extinguish the gigantic fires in the Amazon, the Bolivian government hired the Boeing 747-400 Supertanker from Global SuperTanker Services. The aircraft arrived in Santa Cruz on Thursday night after a flight from Sacramento, California.

As you know, large forest fires have started in the rain forest in Brazil. They crossed to the Bolivian part of the Amazon.

The 747 SuperTanker, the largest fire extinguisher in the world, is now going to help the Bolivian army fight the fire. The plane has the capacity to transport more than 70,000 liters of extinguishing agent and can unload that at a height of only 120 meters.
