• Malaysian Airlines MH17 shootdown

From Aviation HQ@2:292/854 to All on Thu Jun 13 14:10:19 2019
The Russian newspaper Novaja Gazeta has documents in its possession about the transport of the Buk rocket that took down flight MH17 in July 2014. The documents show that more than 170 troops from the anti-aircraft unit were in the Ukrainian border region.

Two days before the plane was shot from the sky on the way from Schiphol to Kuala Lumpur, the troops were given dry rations for five days.

As a result of the disaster, all 298 passengers were killed, including 193 Dutch people. The international research team JIT has already established that the pro-Russian separatists had access to the anti-aircraft installation, which was from the 53rd anti-aircraft brigade.

They must be very proud of themselves. Too bad that that airliner wasn't being shadowed by a pair of A-10 "Warthogs."

I never understood why a flightplan was entered, and accepted, which went over a war zone.

During the hostilities in the Balkan I had to go several times to Athens Greece and we were cleanly routed over the Mediterranean away from any warring party.

People make mistakes, but I am suspicious of that one and share your feelings about it.

Which means there must have been somebody very important in that other flight to shoot it out of the sky.

I still think it was downed on purpose.

    Lucky you.
