• Westjet goes transatlantic

From Aviation HQ@2:292/854 to All on Thu Nov 22 15:15:57 2018
WestJet starts a regular service between Dublin and Halifax on 29 April 2019. The Canadian airline flies non-stop daily between the two cities during the summer season. Use is made of a Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Dublin is also connected to Calgary and St. John's in the summer. The introduction of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 enables WestJet to start more thin routes to Europe.

On board the Boeing 737 MAX 8, WestJet has seating for a total of 174 passengers, 12 of which are in Premium Economy.

I'm not really a fan of Westjet flight attendants.

I'm sure every airline has a few bad apples but I have flown Westjet several times and every time there is just a sense of "forced happiness" about them.

Once I flew a redeye-flight and the banter I overheard between them was... interesting.

Basically an aircraft is a long claustrophobic tube most of the time getting you from point-A to point-B in a very uncomfortable way.

You want extra service? Go Air Canada first class ... :-)

I've never flown first-class. I doubt in my life if I would have the chance.

In my business days it was the rule. And it does make a difference in what condition you arrive when you have to work.

Especially the upper deck of the 747 is fun ... you have the impression you're flying in your own corporate jet...

    You're not snobbish? (-:

I would have liked to take a ride in the Concorde.
