I just want to test drive one. I owned an H3 when they first came out, it really lacked power but was a great SUV, miss it. I'm not sold on battery driven cars yet, although my friend has a new Tesla which I was able to ride
in ... it was like a tablet on wheels ... and fast as hell. But ... I'd get
in a wreck playing wtih the large user interface screen. I am curious to
see how much power the new Hummer has. And, I haven't been following thanks
to all of the 24x7 Trump and Corona coverage .. did ford ever release the new Bronco? They look a bit similar.

Well there will be two flavors of Bronco, the Bronco Sport and the regular Bronco. The Sport is unit body construction using the Escape platform and will be available at the end of summer. The regular Bronco is body on frame construction and will be available 2021. Don't let the Bronco Sport fool you however as it will have 8.8" of ground clearance and quite technical transmission with center locking differential. It will pretty much compete with and dominate competetors like Jeep Cherokee / Compass, Toyota RAV4 TRD Offroad and Subaru Forester if you think the Subie is competition. Base engine is a turbo 3 cyl but will have a 2.0L turbo available which is more desireable. Now the real Bronco is exciting as it's targeted at the Jeep Wrangler with 2 and 4 door versions. Even the baseline Bronco is targeted at people who want to add there own wheel/tire combinations and could be had with a twin turbo engine but I hear there is a V8 option in the picture. To be continued...

I saw the reveal of the Bronco recently. What was your opinion on its look?
I thought they were nice but would have liked to see it with a more square front end. then it launched with. I own 4 door Jeep Wrangler, and will probably just keep it until the Bronco and or Hummer are a few years in and cheaper; however the v8 option sounds like a crap load of fun. The v6 (or inline, can't recall) on my jeep just isn't very powerful. I did like the 4 door Bronco better then the 2 door, but have 3 boys under 12 to lug around :)

I actually like the look, kind of like a Tonka Toy. I'm optimistic about the reliability. Not having been a Jeep owner however, I have had three Ford's now and had previously abandoned American cars altogether until 2012. Uh, let me correct that, my previous wife and I had a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with an inline six and I loved it until it started nagging me as it would cost over $600.00 everytime a light would go off. My parents always owned Chrysler in their heyday and after the '70s there became numerous transmission issues. For my needs I would get the Bronco Sport because I am a nurse and live on Cape Cod and it would be just right... and I know it's a totally different car than the "real" Bronco. I just wouldn't get the 3 cyl. Currently I have a 2018 Fiesta ST which is quite modded. The engine is actually a detuned 1.6 english Cosworth mated to a great six speed tranny that is shared with the Mustang and it's the best manual I have owned. I kill lots of cars with it as long as I can get traction ;)
