• Netfossil in Windows 10

From Smooth@44:100/15 to All on Sat Feb 18 23:30:00 2017
Having major issues trying to get this netfossil thing to work. I'm using Microsoft Windows 10 32bit. Everytime I try to execute a door with
netfossil it kills my NTVDM.EXE. Had to resort to connecting with DoorParty. Would love to have more local doors working but netfossil is giving me a headache in setting up. I've googled as much as I can and have run each solution that everyone has given so far and no go. Ugggh. :(

Hey man, to be honest, i gave up on this. My options where to buy an old Pentium and run my BBS from that machine, or simply run my BBS in a Virtual Machine.

I decided to not do any of that, and simply connect to DooryParty and BBS
    Link.

Sorry for not helping more, but man, choose your fights :P

I ran into this when running Windows over a year ago here is what fixed it.

    Open "Command prompt"
Right click over title "Command prompt" and select "Properties"
Select "Use legacy console (require relauch)", then "Accept"
Close and re-open "Command prompt" to test.

    Cheers!

Always a work around with the 32 bit version of Windows, see my post before this one. :)

Guessing no one got the response I sent on how to fix this one? :P ..

    1. In control panel | progs and prefs | turn win features on/off
    - make sure there is a check in the legacy.
    2. Open a command prompt, has to be admin not normal user.
    3. Click the top left part of the window | select properties from the
    dropdown.
    4. Bottom of the properties window click Use Legacy Console.

Restart the command prompt after making the change to test and you will see
you can now run 16bit apps without the NTVDM error.

    Cheers!
