• Hello out there...

How is everyone doing out there these days? This is my first post on this network. I've been using these days to do a bit more exploring on the BBSes
I connect to and trying to post a bit more and be a bit more active than I usually am.

It's amazing how many places you can find to wander into on BBSes you connect to all the time. I get into a routine and only visit the same areas and only do the same things, etc.

    Take it easy...

Message posters are hard to find these days like it used to. ;)

Welcome. I work from home so things aren't so much different here. I don't
have free time extra or anything like that. I really want to work on my BBS menu but I'd not good at graphics stuff and have a bad imagination when it comes to visual stuff.

I can sympathize, I'm terrible when it comes to any type of design work like that as well. I have no artistic abilities and can barely draw a straight
    line with a ruler. ;)

I'm working from home during this so I do have some extra time, although not
as much as I always imagined I would have without the commute, etc.

I do know some folks who are getting paid by their employers to stay home without having to use vacation time, etc. I'm not sure how they managed to line up that deal.

Yup, I can't even draw stick men!

I think people tend to sleep in a bit since they don't have the commute which eats at the day. They also get stucked into stuff and work later than they expected too. It used to happen to me but I've set boundaries now.

That's one problem with already working from home and jobs where you can telecommute. That said, many people can't and have been laid off, so I'm really not going to complain about it.

I can say that part of it is the sleeping later thing for me. Originally I
was getting up at the exact same time trying not to break my routine. I still keep the alarm set for the same time, but now I tend to hit the snooze once
or twice, which is something I normally don't have time to do.

Very true. I'm fortunate to be able to do almost everything remotely. I sympathize with people who have to keep going in somewhere, especially if it
is somewhere open to the public. I only go where I absolutely have to. Hopefully that helps out a little bit.

I do the same, but that usually turns into 3-4 times and then I fall back to sleep after the number of snoozes. Thankfully my boss is cool that a lot depends on that I get my work done, not necessarily how many hours I put. I could do something in 15 minutes that might take someone more junior a few hours.

I don't go anywhere either, I send the wife :)

Welcome! I go through phases myself. Will be extremely active for a while,
then do something else, then always come back to being very involved.

    Likewise.
