• Setting up HUB Echomail

From Dribble@44:100/6 to All on Tue Mar 31 23:46:00 2015
    Hey All,

Was wondering if someone has some insight on this. So I know Mystic has a BINKP server built in, but how do you use it? I have a QWK network I want to convert to echomail, and need to know to setup the incoming nodes and their passwords for the binkp server. Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dribble

I can't answer that, but can I ask.. why convert a qwk network to ftn? QWK networks are kewl, look at dove-net. I suppose FTN networks are better
(easier) to setup file links with tic files. I've toyed around with
synchronet and it can be setup to do both qwk and ftn so that is handy in the case of nodes that can't do qwk.

I haven't looked at using both qwk and ftn in mystic BBS but if it's possible I'd use both, then nodes that want to connect can use what works best for
    them.

Now that I read your message again I can answer that.. :)

Binkp is one of the services along with telnet (and a few others if needed). The listening side of it is run by mis.exe and you can poll nodes you have setup in your config with fidopoll. You can configure fidopoll, semaphores
    etc in your event setup.
