I was wondering if anyone is running Amtelnet on 4.1 and has installed the latest MUI update. Ever since I updated MUI I haven't been able to get the program to work correctly. The best I have been able to do is to get it to open and I can move the window around the screen, but I can't click on anything
in it.

Anyone else?

I talked to someone else that did install the new MUI update and has no problems with Amtelnet at all. Maybe some difference between the models? My plan is to do a clean install of 4.1 through update 2 and get everything updated, then re-install what I'm using. I'm curious (and hopeful) that somehow this solves the problem. I'll let you know what happens.

I plan on wiping and reinstalling OS 4 sometime this holiday season. My UAE has started acting wonky.

I'll install the latest MUI and see if it affects it.

So here's the latest. I went ahead and did a completely clean update to 4.1 update 2. Amtelnet now works again, but the MUI update isn't installing properly. It tells me the update was successful and that the system needs a soft reboot, but afterwards if I scan again the update is there again. I tried
a hard reboot and that didn't work either.

Maybe it's an issue on some systems with the MUI update, I'm watching the forums for others with the same issue but so far no sign. I'd like it to install obviously, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't. At least Amtelnet is working again.

Did you put update 2 on yet? How did it go for you?

Sorry for the delay in responding, the BBS has been a bit under the weather.
I wanted to send out an update in case anyone else spotted the thread and was having issues.

I did a clean install for Update #2 and all is well now. I'm not sure why my system didn't like the MUI update before Update #2, but I'm not having any problems since the update, which contained the new version of MUI.

The only change I spotted in MUI from before Update #2 vs after was when I put it on before if I ran AmigaAMP the song names would pop up on the bottom right with a blue background in the notification window. After Update #2 they're back to the bottom left with a white background. Obviously either way is fine,
I just happened to notice the change. Before the MUI update (without Update #2) they were also always on the left with a white background.

Did you try the re-install? How did it go?
