• Is Prepping guided by the elit?

From xqtr@9:92/9 to All on Sat May 25 10:07:19 2019
When i started prepping, there were only a few others that they were doing it. Youtube hadn't a lot of channels on this subject and web sites also, were mostly on the "conspiracy theory" side, than actual prepping.

Through the years i saw a drastic change on this... youtube became full with preppers/survivalists etc, the web also... we also got many tv shows on the subject and the whole thing, became almost mainstream.

With all the "gun restriction" talk, right parties taking power etc... i am wondering... if prepping is guided intentionally by the "big guys" to make people look like extreme nationalists (nazis kind of sort), look like they are against the state etc... or even just to make people prepare for something
big, with out knowing it? What do you think?

I'm sure every country has different views of history and events. If one is
old enough to remember "Ruby Ridge" or what happen in Waco, Texas. I can see why there are feeling of those against the state etc.. I consider myself a nationalists just for the fact that I Love my country and care about it deeply.

I remember watching all seven seasons of the "Showtime" series "Homeland" Yes it's NOT real and entertainment on cable TV. Never-the-less, exactly who owns Hollywood who control it and the billion dollar Porn industry? Sometimes I can't help myself from laughing, crying or felling shame.. that my own grand-children will be living with all the "In-Your-Face" CRAP. Sorry, about that.. I vent when I get pissed. Move along.. nothing to see here :D

Yeah. I think somewhat. Generally speaking, I am feeling more an more that
the conspiracy/prepper/etc. (and UFO tbh) narrative is being divided and contained by the hegemonic powers that be. 1) because controlling the
narrative allows it to be isolated and illegitimated and 2) fun and profit.

Basically, we do have contradictory narratives being pushed everywhere. There *are* plenty of shithole, "Christian identity movement", white supremacists
out there into stockpiling guns. Not saying Waco (they are their own mess)
but Ruby Ridge and associated places like Elohim City. These are fringe
groups but are certainly, regardless of official FBI designation, domestic terrorist groups. They prep to make war on civil authorities and are
extremist Christian sectarians (for the most part) and white nationalists to
a man. The prevailence of this sort of idealized white, anti-goverment
identity nationalist are smaller race identity movements in the mid 20th century and the Turner Diaries, which glorifies racism, survivalism, and decentralized revolution (much like the Oaklahoma City bombing). These are
the scary fringe, but they are also the more *interesting* to the hegemonic powers.

In the case of message control, the CIA wants to paint everyone with a gun
and a bug out bag as someone waging war on the government. Certainly, the
loud, ugliest pieces of shit in the prepper/survivalist community fit this,
the remaining 99% are normal ass people. Many are not even particularly politically right (tending more toward libertarian then far-right
nationalism) and a fair bit are even on the leftist end (particularly on the anarcho-syndicalist end of the socialist umbrella, feeling the government is unable and disinterested in private/local commonwealth). If everyone is a potentially a violent, gun toting white nationalist, the whole idea of legal, responsible prepping becomes tainted.

It is the same with modern conspiracy thought. Since 9/11, the old old school researchers passed away (Cooper, Bell, etc.), the emerging new school sold
out and is not longer rigorous, because crazy sells (Jones), and there is so much noise, signal is nowhere to be found. I think this has been intentional
in part and merely snowballed to an "anything goes" attitude, where any
jackass with a YouTube channel can rant and be amplified, even if 99% of what he or she is saying is horseshit and they wander back to the same tired millenia-old Zionist shit in the end. Basically, the community is glutted
with bad info or intentional fabrication (both from outside and within) to
the point any legitimate research/journalism/truth is almost certainly lost.
It is almost not even worth it at this point.

To the latter point, regard profitability: danger sells. Alarmism sells. The capitalist handlers of this country want to make everyone piss themselves.
They want people to fear preppers and preppers to fear everything. Crime has been shrinking since the 1970s in most population centers, but news sells advertising better when you are alarmed. Fox News is the king of outrage,
with MSNBC not too far behind. As such, neither are worth watching. CNN is little better, sticking more to the facts, sure, but constantly hammering on the same shit over and over to get people worked up. As such, we have
(frankly) ill-motivated populism on the right angry at the state of affairs (both actual and intensified by media narrative) and instead of understanding the root economic causes (long-standing neoliberal economic policy put in
place by Reagan, then the elder Bush, and finally by Clinton) in which it is the government and the mandate of power shifting from the electorate to an increasingly powerful corporate oligarchy, they blame foreigners and gay people. Frankly, we need to be fucking unionizing, destroying the lobbying [bribery] system, and tearing down the big corporations ["leftist socialist shit" as the media calls it, to illegitimate it] rather than fighting over which old overpaid sicophant stays in power.

So yeah, there are shitbags in this space, but then again the KKK is technically a Christian organization. The government and the media want to
say anyone with interest in survival, personal safety, decentralized communication, etc. are fringe.

To give you a little mindfuck: I am not Christian. I am democratic socialist (so, yes, Marxist). I don't own a gun (since I have a history of mental
illness in my family and don't entirely trust it and I frankly don't enjoy hunting). I however am very interested and active in this space.I am basically the opposite (save for being white and male) than the media portrayal of ultra-right nationalists vis a vis Ruby Ridge.

So basically, don't believe the hype. Take fucking everything with a grain of salt. And if you come across any white nationalists, just tell them to fuck off.

I agree with all that you are saying and also have the same feeling about the whole situation. In the past i had my "sources" (media i mean), which they
were one, two, three specific people/nets... now days, we can't and i don't believe any one particular. I try to have my mind and ears open and verify things, from different sources.

There is too much false information... and also toooooo much information.
Count how many "conspiracy theories" there are. Too many! Others verify each other and other are contradicting each other. You can't be sure in what to believe.

The whole point of this, i think its intensional... to confuse people, make them leftists/rightists and being easier to manipulate. We live in very dark and strange times :(
