stuff that makes pepper sprays, used for self-defense, so effective.
Capsaicin has been linked to weight loss, pain relief, and heart health and
is believed to be a blood purifier. Dutch studies show it makes you feel
fuller so you eat less. Many studies show it has an analgesic effect because
it blocks a protein needed to transmit pain signals in the body. Because a little cayenne pepper goes a long way for most people, and the effect gets greater the longer it is cooked, less is more here. Add a pinch one-eighth teaspoon near, or at the end of the cooking time, to fish or tomato type
foods such as soups, stews, and gumbos.
