How can there be no postings in the Pandemics board during Covid? We're
living it now. Is it all you expected?

    Hi bobrob!

How can there be no postings in the Pandemics board during Covid?
We're living it now. Is it all you expected?
Some people have lost their jobs and the last thing on their minds are how to put food on the table, how to have a roof over your head and put clothes on your back.

Some people are not in talkative mood about this topic as they are too wrapped up in the MSM narrative that is biased towards one political agenda. I think this mode of communication might be the way to transmit truth without fear of censorship right now. :)

    Take care!

    Cheers,

Yes, a very real result, and I'm not trying to minimize any of that. I'm simply noting that this is probably the first, and hopefully last, real pandemic any of us have lived thru. Until now it was all theory and guesswork. Now we've got real expierences.

Obviously food and housing is a huge concern. The economic impacts of the pandemic are just as powerful as those of the actual virus.

I'm not here to argue politics. I don' think this is the right forum for that.

And this could be noted as the most catastrophic failure of
trickle-down economics. I feel that if we'd given everyone a monthly
stipend instead of small business loans co-opted by larger businesses
and bailouts to vulnerable industries, people would *spend* that
money propping up the economy - and not have to worry as much about
food scarcity, unemployment and paying rent.

    Yes. Amen.

Government was invented for this. To provide services that benefit all of society. They need to step in to protect people and business until the vaccine is distributed widely enough that things can return to normal.

The whole PPP program was used and abused.
