No, but I helped myself to a cold beer, however I've left a slice of pizza
    for you.

    Cheers!

A good trade in deed. The pizza was cold and the beer was cold, a great combination!

    I'm more of a morning-after-hot-coffee-and-cold-pizza kinda guy.

... How does this work, is there an orientation?

I would do coffee more if it I wasn't so lazy and would just start the pot. I'd save a hella lot more money if I just brewed coffee and drank that
instead of spending so much money on sodapop. Ah well.

Buy a pot with a timer, or (gasp!) Keurig. I'd recommend the former,
as you can set it up in the morning and wake up to freshly brewed
    coffee.

England in the 60s had a device called a Teasmade - it was a
combination alarm clock, nightstand lamp and teapot. The alarm would
go off, light go on, and a pot of water set to boil.

This is true, and my folks had one up until at least the early 80's, as a
young lad I used to love going into their bedroom at the sound of the alarm
and watch my dad or mum roll over and get the tea that was made by this
    amazing machine.

I must have been 4 or 5 maybe 6 at the time. Truly fascinating.
