How easy is it to spot an intelligence agent? Just look at his/her pocket
book and bank account. This is called a false economy: when you claim to
have a certain amount of financial resources but in reality you are far more rich. How can one avoid this operational security problem? Simple, don't get cash in return for your services. There is probably something that you would like created, say a computer application or some type of physical goods... by doing this you can get what you want without the worry of living a lifestyle beyond your normal means.

    Cheers!

    Hey again,
Ive held a keynote at a few IT-security conferences regarding this topic. Ive had Mossad, NSA, FBI and other agents approach me due to the fact i work for Kaspersky Lab (Russian IT-sec company). I documented my encouters and create
    a presentation about it.

This was the abstract for the presentation:
REAL-WORLD LESSONS ABOUT SPIES EVERY SECURITY RESEARCHER SHOULD KNOW

Intelligence agencies need intelligence. Recruiting people who know stuff is one of their tasks, but how do they actually do it? What do they want? What
is their methods? David and Stefan who both work at Kaspersky Lab have
tracked and documented operations from different intelligence agencies and is going to give you a full disclosure presentation about what is actually happening in the industry regarding intelligence and security researchers.

Not sure its available on YouTube or not, let me look.
