Yes I am getting random bits of ANSI in Meatlotion's messages as well- it ends up scrambling the display. I would check the ANSI encoding on any signatures, footers etc to make sure its good.

    Hi Ricsi,

The above looks a lot like ANSI escape sequences (not bbs garbage =) ), my BBS is a Mystic BBS so I can only assume that it's adding that for layout purposes as from memory ^[[1;1H is a cursor positioning call to move the cursor to row 1 column 1.

No idea how they would be put in any other way, but the message I posted was just text, no ansi or I would have used [ANSI] in the subject.

My signature does however use Mystic pipe codes, and I apologise for that if it's causing you a problem reading it.

ANSI escape sequences _ARE_ BBS garbage!
    At least to me :)

Anyhow either stop including that garbage in your messages, or at least mark them with [ANSI] so they will be filtered out here before they are shown in my editor.

my BBS is a Mystic BBS so I can only assume that it's adding that
for layout purposes as from memory ^[[1;1H is a cursor positioning
call to move the cursor to row 1 column 1.

I assume it is another Mystic bug.
Sadly I have to say that that software is by far the buggiest I have ever seen. I can remember a time when it mixed kludges and sent them back to me.
As the kludge was changed, I got a copy of my own messages, that could NOT be dupe deleted as Mystic changed the kludge.
Sadly the author of Mystic is not a believer in testing.
5 minutes of testing would have shown that there was a catastrophic bug included.
But he put that version onto the web WITHOUT testing, and it was used by many people :(((

So please crosscheck your config, and if that is fine, start debugging with the
    author.

My signature does however use Mystic pipe codes, and I apologise for
that if it's causing you a problem reading it.

Well those do not disturb your text, its just garbage appended to the end.
So I do not really have an issue with that.

Hey man- yeah please remove any positioning code from your FTN messages, it breaks display on other boards. Color codes are fine :)

Yeah that's fine of course, but the crazy thing I was trying to explain is
that I didn't put any in, I literally just typed a text message, there were
no colours in it except from the signature.

I don't understand why the positioning codes were there, I certainly didn't
    put them there.

    Hi Ricsi! =)

Thanks for your advice and help to show me what was going wrong with a
message I posted, firstly I would like to apologise for this even happening.

I have exported my original message that I typed (which didn't have any ansi codes in it that I put in - only "pipe codes" for the colour in my
signature), and when I viewed the file in a text editor I can indeed see that what looks like every line has had an ansi code injected in it somehow.

Now I know that I didn't spend ages typing all that in (as in the ansi
codes), it was only just a normal message, no colour, no ansi, just a bit of text, or that is what I had intended, however somehow a lot of ansi was injected into my message and passed on to y'all.

I am still trying to figure out how this happened, whether it is my system,
the hub I connect with, or Mystic, or something else, and I hope that this message doesn't have all that ansi injected into it also, I just wanted to offer my apologise to you (and anyone else who got my message turn up with
    all that ansi in).

I am sorry for causing you any issues with the message, as soon as I figure
out how it happened in the first place I will address it immediately.

    With respect and best wishes.
