OR -- does anyone know of another BBS carrying RetroNet that does not use doorway mode menus? Or at least doesn't run SynchroNet? Thanks.
I login to two BBS that run SynchroNet, regularly -- Black Flag BBS and The ByteXchange. Both in ANSI mode present a menu that needs to be navigated with arrow keys in the messages area. I can do this fine in SyncTerm, but on my vintage machines -- Amiga and Tandy 1000 -- I can navigate the menus on The ByteXchange but not on Black Flag, and of the two only Black Flag carries RetroNet. Not all MSDOS term programs
support doorway mode -- I am using Qmodem (which is too slow really on this Tandy) and Commo.
Anyone had such issues and have advice to help? I'd like to use the vintage machines (equipped with a WiFi232) to login.
Black Flag is running Mystic, not Synchronet - but if you choose Amiga Ascii as your theme either at login or within your user settings, it'll revert the doors menu back to hotkeys rather than a lightbar.
